Boynton Beach real estate guide
TL;DR: Boynton Beach has single-family homes, condos, townhomes and several large 55+ communities, from the Intracoastal to the western suburbs. Prices and HOA fees vary a lot by neighborhood, so start with the area and home type you want.
Home types
- Single-family homes in established neighborhoods east of I-95 and in newer gated communities to the west
- Condos and townhomes, including waterfront buildings near the Intracoastal
- Age-restricted 55+ communities in several parts of the city, including some east of Military Trail
- Golf and club communities. Ask whether a club membership is required before you buy
Places and getting around
- Boynton Harbor Marina and the Boynton Inlet area
- Oceanfront Park, the city's beach park on A1A just north of Ocean Avenue in Ocean Ridge
- Downtown along East Ocean Avenue, with Town Square, City Hall, the library and the Arts and Cultural Center
- Easy access to I-95 and Florida's Turnpike
Prices and HOA fees
Prices and HOA or condo fees vary a lot from one community to the next, and they change often. For current prices, see what is listed now. For your own home, get a free home value and I will send you real numbers.
What to know before you buy or sell
- Flood zones differ street by street near the water. Check the flood zone and insurance quote before you write an offer.
- Many western communities have HOA approval steps that take time. Build that into your closing date.
Schools
Look up school zones and ratings for a specific address with the School District of Palm Beach County. Zones can change, so check the address, not the city.

My local tip
Drive the area at rush hour and on a weekend before you pick a street. Boynton Beach Boulevard, Gateway and Woolbright feel very different at 5 pm than at 10 am. If you plan to use the beach often, ask about the city's annual beach parking permit for Oceanfront Park.
